2-162 Infantry

The Infantry is known as the Army's "Queen of Battle." The mission of the Infantry is to close with the enemy by means of fire and maneuver to defeat or capture him, or to repel his assault by fire, close combat, and counterattack.

The 2-162 is one of the nation's top Infantry battalions. The battalion is headquartered in Cottage Grove, with units in Eugene, Corvallis, Gresham, and Hillsboro.
